A solar giant on the RBA bank building

Date publishedSeptember 9, 2024

The solar giant in Magazin Street has power comparable to 15 average household solar power plants.

We have installed a solar power plant on the RBA bank building in Zagreb, where 900 people work, and it will produce 90,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity annually. The installed power plant has 75 kilowatt-hours, and one kilowatt of installed capacity at this location produces 1200 kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, or 1.2 megawatt-hours. If we were to use fossil fuels such as coal or oil to generate that amount of energy, we would release about 41 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere. To absorb such an amount of CO2, it would be necessary to plant 3,750 trees.
